A stunning example of one of Zenith's most celebrated complications, presented in excellent condition with full box and papers.
The Chronomaster Open Grande Date houses the automatic El Primero calibre 4047, featuring a big date display at 2 o'clock and a moonphase indicator at 6 o'clock. The iconic "open heart" aperture between 8 and 11 o'clock reveals the beating movement within.
The self-winding movement is composed of 332 parts, operates at a high frequency of 36,000 vph (5 Hz), and offers a minimum power reserve of 50 hours. This 10 vibrations-per-second beat is what sets the El Primero apart — it remains the only chronograph movement capable of measuring and displaying 1/10th of a second.
The brushed and polished stainless steel case measures 45mm and features a sapphire exhibition caseback. The black dial is complemented by silver-tone luminescent hands and indices, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, small seconds at 9 o'clock, and a tachymeter scale around the flange. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres
Presented complete with the original Zenith wooden box, outer packaging, El Primero manual, warranty booklet, and warranty card. The reference number 03.2160.4047 is clearly visible on the caseback, along with the serial number.
