Vintage 1940s–1950s Cyma Swiss manual wind wristwatch with Roman numeral dial, subsidiary seconds, Cal. R.494 Tavannes movement, and stainless steel case back — a classic mid-century Swiss dress watch.

  • A handsome vintage Cyma gents' wristwatch, dating from the late 1940s to early 1950s. The champagne dial displays Roman numerals with a distinctive two-tone sunken centre and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock — a classic layout of the period. The hands retain their original gilt finish. The stainless steel case houses the Cyma Calibre R.494, a Swiss-made manual-wind movement with 15 jewels, signed "Cyma Tavannes" on the bridge — reflecting the merger of Cyma and Tavannes Watch Co. The movement serial number 302727 is clearly visible, and the case back is stamped with the Cyma Watch Co. logo, "Swiss Made," and "Stainless Steel Back." The watch is presented on a black leather strap. The dial shows honest age-related patina and spotting consistent with its years, contributing to its authentic vintage character.
